Verification of walkthrough auralization

Public

A walkthrough auralization is a simulation of a moving sound in a virtual model. By performing a real-time experiment in Riley Commons, we are able to verify that CATT-Acoustic can properly transform an anechoic recording into a realistic walkthrough experiment in a virtual environment. Using a subjective listening test, we found that listeners had difficulty distinguishing between the real-time walkthrough experiment as compared to the virtual walkthrough auralization.
