Water reuse for golf course irrigation

Public

Fresh water resources, which are under increasing demands, can be conserved by reusing wastewater for non-potable applications. The goal of our project was to design a water reuse irrigation system for an existing golf course in Massachusetts. We researched wastewater treatment plants, surveyed golf courses regarding their water usage, and evaluated irrigation system components. We designed a system allowing for an existing golf course irrigation system to accommodate the use of reclaimed water as its primary water source.
