Escuela Agrícola San Francisco is a technical high school located in Benjamín Aceval, Paraguay that teaches high school students how to be successful farmers and hospitality workers through their agricultural campus and onsite hotel, Hotel Cerrito. However, due to the topography of the campus along with other factors, the area has been faced with numerous soil erosion issues that affect the appeal of the campus. Previously, a group of WPI IQP students in 2020 researched and suggested solutions in a report for future teams to implement. This report covers how we researched, planned, and implemented three solutions to help mitigate the effects of erosion with the help of the 2020 team’s report as well as our Paraguayan counterparts, which includes several Paraguayan professors and students.

  • This report represents the work of one or more WPI undergraduate students submitted to the faculty as evidence of completion of a degree requirement. WPI routinely publishes these reports on its website without editorial or peer review.
