The purpose of the project was to improve the physical model of the EB-PVD TBC chamber and the data gathering methods. The major systems, light source, sensors, drive train, data acquisition and software, were evaluated. Areas of improvement were identified and solutions designed using a specific methodology. Experiments were run to validate the new design. Initial results from the experiments indicate a significant improvement in simulation automation and accuracy.
