WS³ -- wireless smart sensor system
PublicThis document describes the design process and system documentation for a wireless sensor designed for AMT (Advanced Manufacturing Technology) at the University of Limerick, Ireland, in conjunction with Worcester Polytechnic Institute, USA. The wireless sensor contains generic conditioning interfaces for both resistive and capacitive sensors that is sampled and then relayed wirelessly to a Base Station with a PC interface for interpretation of the results, with support for multiple sensors per Base Station. A working prototype was demonstrated and delivered to AMT and the University of Limerick.
