The Woodrow Wilson Bridge design

Public

This project produced a design of the Woodrow Wilson Bridge, located in Washington, D.C. The project team worked in conjunction with the Maryland Department of Transportation and AASHTO criteria. The project involved design of the roadway deck, longitudinal steel box girders, prestressed concrete arches, and foundation elements. Three deck alternatives were evaluated in a life-cycle cost estimate. Conclusions were made from the comparison of the roadway deck types and girder spacing alternatives.
