The purpose of this project was to apply lean manufacturing techniques to the quotation process at the Westfield Gage Company to reduce process cycle time. Extensive research focusing on trends in supply chain management was followed by an analysis of the current process and related data sets in order to locate areas of waste and draw conclusions on which we based our recommendations for improved process efficiency. Recommendations include the implementation of electronic methods and the reduction of quoting tasks.
