open in viewerThis report provides an analysis of the internal and external drivers influencing the contemporisation of the Fire Ed program for primary school children led by the Metropolitan Fire Brigade (MFB) in Victoria, Australia. From interviews, data analysis and contemporary practice case studies, the WPI team provided MFB with the evidence necessary to confirm that Fire Ed needs a modernisation of its booking, reporting and feedback processes, delivery approach, key messages, and resources. The team developed appropriate and contextualised advice to support organisational decision-making about the scope and types of changes required to contemporise the Fire Ed program. The advice specifically provides various options the MFB should consider when updating the Fire Ed program.
