Turn Back Time (TBT) is an education center whose mission is to teach and heal through nature. We aimed to create an accessible mud kitchen at TBT that can teach math and social skills through play and hands-on learning. We reviewed related literature, interviewed educators, and observed TBT students and local mud kitchens. We designed and built a completed, roughly 204 square feet mud kitchen with a sink, water pump, stove, cabinets, chalk board, cash register, and educational activity guides for TBT instructors.
