Mechanics of dental screw fixation

Public

[Brief] The intent of this Major Qualifying Project (MQP) was to address the effectiveness of bone/screw interface parameters on dental screw retention. The design of experimental procedures to evaluate two bone/screw interface parameters, the coefficient of friction and thread geometry, was completed. Mechanical grips were design[ed] and fabricated in order to perform the experiments. The experimental procedures and grip fixtures will contribute to ongoing dental research at Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
