Performance evaluation of block ciphers

Public

This MQP was set up to discover the performance of using different encryption algorithms over IPSec (Internet Protocol Security). Within each algorithm, there are more variations, such as the authentication ode, IPSec mode, and fragmentations size. Through null encription and having no IPSec whatsoever, we were attempting to determine the maximum throughput our connection can handle. Then we are establishing how much encryption algorithms (AES and 3DES) degrade these throughput measurements and how they compare to each other.
