Coppus Portable Ventilation Division, of the Tuthill Corporation, Jectair product line's design, process flow, and costs of the current assembly were analyzed to reduce total cycle time. It is recommended that the inlet housing be out-sourced by LA Aluminum. LA Aluminum would cast the housing and also perform the machining of the inlet housing for an additional $6.10 per part. This change will reduce the total cycle time by 65% per lot size of 30. This recommendation is based on a cost and time analysis of the Jectair® product line.
