Leaving Burrillville is a mixed genre narrative that incorporates elements of fiction, non-fiction and poetry writing to characterize Burrillville, Rhode Island. The central piece is the story of a teenage protagonist, "Picker", and his experiences in high school. Interwoven with this piece are several autobiographical essays based on my experiences growing up in a small town.
