SimSat Attitude Determination and Reporting

Public

The Simulated Satellite (SimSat) Project is a NASA educational outreach program in which middle and high school students design, build, and launch scientific experiments tethered to a weather balloon. Our project goal was to design, build and test a payload to collect and record GPS, altitude, and temperature information during a flight (SAARP). We defined system requirements and divided the project into subsystems; each subsystem was developed and tested independently of the others. We then wrote the necessary software and integrated and tested the entire prototype.
