Use of nondestructive testing and evaluation for structural design of pavements
PublicUsing a variety of advanced nondestructive testing and evaluation methods, the pavement structure at Moore Army Airfield was evaluated. After determining parts of the pavement unsuitable for high aircraft traffic loads, mechanistic methods were used to determine different options which would increase the strength of the pavement. Finally, a cost analysis was completed to determine the best approach to the problem.
