Electrical modeling of magneto-rheological damper response

Public

The objective of this Major Qualifying Project was to model the electrical response and design the power delivery system of a Magneto-Rheological damper on a testing fixture. Using the pertinent literature information the MR-damper's non-linear behavior was modeled in response to harmonic to harmonic excitation similar to that of seismic phenomenon where such technology is used. The response was analyzed in both time and frequency domain to ensure accuracy of modeling. The power delivery system was also designed under realistic terms.
