Low cost housing

Public

This MQP develops the use of ThermaSteel panels as a low-income housing building material. Through the use of finite element modeling of the material, the behavior of the panels was determined. From these results, recommendations were made regarding structural compliance with the Massachusetts Building Code. A cost analysis also resulted in the recommendation of ThermaSteel panels as a low-cost housing building option. Also included are the floor plan for the single-story house and interior details for HVAC and wall cross-sections.
