Manufacturing oriented development of a rotary valve system

Public

This project consisted of the analysis of previous work on an experimental engine developed by the Institute for Advanced Engineering, the formulation of recommendations for continued development, and the design of a rotary valve cylinder head for the engine. The design was developed emphasizing manufacturability as well as performance. Reverse engineering of the existing cylinder head was utilized to define the interface surface of the cylinder head, in order to ensure compatibility with the test engine.
