The chassis design of the FSAE race car

Public

The goals of 2004 Formula SAE Race Car Chassis Design were to improve previous years' designs, to provide a stiff platform and supportable attachment points for the suspension. An assembly model was developed using the Pro/Engineer CAD software package, incorporating previous design strengths from the 2000 and the 2002 cars, and followed all the general design requirements from 2004 Formula SAE Rules for the competition. This report includes improvements made over previous year's cars and recommendations for future work.

  • This report represents the work of one or more WPI undergraduate students submitted to the faculty as evidence of completion of a degree requirement. WPI routinely publishes these reports on its website without editorial or peer review.
