COVID-19 In The Home Care Community

open in viewerThe COVID-19 pandemic created operational and financial challenges for home healthcare businesses. The Right at Home agency, in Northern Westchester, New York, took proactive steps to maintain their services. We evaluated this business’ adaptations to their policies and procedures in response to the virus. In the event of an outbreak, we recommend that home care facilities conduct telehealth assessments of clients, provide online training and financial assistance to caregivers, and perform wellness checks on both clients and caregivers.
