The purpose of this project was to investigate methods used in citation analysis of documents and to apply these techniques to an online bibliography called Webbib. Through these methods, we developed algorithms that use reference data to group documents into clusters. These clusters each contain several related documents. Possible applications of these results include aiding in the classification of documents and helping researchers find reference materials related to particular topics.
