TCV specific siRNAs are not produced in infected Arabidopsis thaliana
ÖffentlichThough Turnip Crinkle Virus (TCV) has been demonstrated to encode a suppressor of RNA silencing, no research has shown whether small interfering RNA's (siRNAs) specific to TCV can be isolated from infected Arabidopsis thaliana. In order to explore this, a protocol for isolating and probing siRNAs was developed using siRNA literature as a guide. This study also demonstrates that no WT-TCV specific siRNA produced in infected Col-0 or Di-17 A. thaliana strains and provides a groundwork for future siRNA related studies in this system.
