Analysis and design of a total temperature probe

Public

This project performed modeling of a total temperature probe (TTP) used in the characterization of jet engines. A fluid-heat transfer model for TTPs is reviewed and implemented. A thermofluid model for the TTPs considered in this project was developed and implemented as a thermal resistive network. Results are compared with experimental data and show the need for a more complete fluid and heat transfer model. In addition, a TTP that will be used in future experiments was designed and constructed.
