A total of 219 hours of double coincidence data obtained by GEO600 and LIGO interferometers during the first year of the fifth science run were searched for gravitational wave events from transient astrophysical sources, using a KleineWelle algorithm. Eleven candidate events with significance over 35 were identified, with their characterization currently in progress. This work does not reflect the scientific opinion of the LIGO Scientific Collaboration and it was not reviewed by the collaboration.
