Ethernet based video surveillance

Public

The project is intended to provide an alternate choice for the current analog video surveillance systems by designing a new system that use[s] the existing Ethernet. Its goal is to build a more compact, lower cost, and better performing system than the current system. In addition, it has to be efficient in image processing. This system connects directly to an Ethernet LAN (Local Area Network) and transmits video frames containing motion to a central location with a graphical user interface for image viewing and camera control. It allows a centralized control and access by using the GUI (graphical user interface). The prototype system is operational.
