The In line injection of bentonite slurry to pall cross flow filter systems at E&J Gallo Winery Modesto, CA

Public

Currently, E&J Gallo Winery is adding bentonite to the feed tanks where it has to settle for two days and then be bled off by an operator. The process is both timely and leaves room for operator error. This project studies the process and feasibility of implementing an inline injection system for the addition of bentonite prior to entering the PALL cross flow filters. The report outlines the methods used, results and recommendations of the injection experiment.
