Analysis of clothing flammability test environment

Public

The intent of this project was to analyze and quantify the thermal environment in a modified standard room. Computer fluid dynamic simulations were analyzed and compared to the temperature and flux measurements that were gathered from this facility. Problems with repeatability, as well as potential issues with reproducibility, were identified and evaluated. These results will be used in part in the development of a full scale garment flammability test for the Navy Clothing and Textile Research Facility.
