Autonomous Undersea Systems Network (AUSNet) stale data expiration and store-forward routing

Public

The Autonomous Undersea Systems Network, AUSNet as designed to meet the challenges of underwater networking; however two major pieces of future work arose from in-water testing, first, the handling of the queuing of packets, and second the ability to use Store-Forward Routing in partitioned networks. This paper presents and evaluates using time-driven simulation several algorithms to address these tasks. Successful integration of these algorithms into AUSNet was accomplished for both problems using advanced techniques for Mobile Ad-Hoc Networks.
