Characterization of crosstalk on a printed circuit board

Public

Increases in signal frequencies in modern electrical systems can cause signal integrity problems which hamper system performance. This project investigated the effects of crosstalk in a video multiplexing system. Printed circuit boards were designed specifically to test how trace layout and cable choices contribute to system crosstalk. The project clearly illustrates how proper trace separation and cable selection can maintain system performance levels limited only by the chips involved.
