Alternative renewable energy resources
PublicDownloadable Content
open in viewerWith the waning supply of fossil fuels, the need to explore alternative renewable energy sources is vital to satisfy energy demands. This project analyzed the current reserves and consumption of coal, natural gas, and oil to predict how long they will last. Alternative energy was then considered, including an in-depth analysis of a photovoltaic energy system to satisfy the energy needs of WPI. The system was determined to be economically feasible, provided that sufficient federal grants were obtained.
