Student Work

Use of radar, seismic tool and deflection test for evaluation of airport pavement.

Public

The proposed study consists of using three NDT evaluating machines-Portable Seismic Analyzer (PSPA) , Falling Weight Deflectometer (FWD) and Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) to evaluate existing pavement structures. The PSPA is capable of determining modulus of the surface and near surface layers, the FWD can be used to back moduli of different layers and GPR is capable of determining thickness of different layers and detecting the presence of excessive moisture.
