Factors contributing to the longevity of the microbial battery

Public

This Major Qualifying Project concerns the function and biochemistry of the microbial battery. Viable count studies were performed in order to determine the effects of the microbial battery environment on the survival of yeast cells; experiments were also conducted in order to detect the factors which contribute to the longevity of the microbial battery. The results of these studies may lead to optimization of the microbial battery.
