open in viewerTo obtain my initial teaching license in 5-12 Technology/Engineering, I completed my teaching practicum from January to May of 2024 (C and D term at Worcester Polytechnic Institute). For the first weeks, I observed my mentor teacher, Ms. Annette Cochran, at my placement high school, Doherty Memorial High School. Then, I began to create lesson plans and actually teach my first course, Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM). I taught my second course, Civil Engineering and Architecture (CEA) a few weeks afterwards. Both classes are under the Project Lead the Way (PLTW) curriculum. I was assessed based on the standards set forth by the Candidate Assessment of Performance (CAP), in which I was observed by my program supervisor, Ms. Roxanne Donahue, several times throughout my student teaching.
