Implementing a New Drying Oven at Pacific Can
PublicDownloadable Content
open in viewerThe largest aluminum can manufacturer in China, Pacific Can’s production line washes up to 1500 cans per minute while its oven only dries 1200 cans per minute. Our team collaborated with students from Beijing University of Chemical Technology to optimize Pacific Can’s oven to dry an additional 300 cans per minute. A prototype drying oven was designed and built and a scaling analysis was performed to prove that it is feasible for use by Pacific Can.
